Snake Awareness
I've been here 2 years, and saw my 2nd snake in the neighborhood yesterday. Snakes are common in eastern NC, luckily most of them are beneficial (but still give the "willies"). This fella looks like a corn snake, they are non-venomous and non-aggressive, they eat mice, frogs, lizards...I've also heard reports of Copperheads in the area, too, so please be aware of this when you're out and about.
